US HOUSE PASSES AMENDED SGR BILL – 3/14/14

On Friday, March 14, by a vote of 238 to 181, the House of Representatives passed an amended version of H.R. 4015, the “SGR Repeal and Medicare Provider Payment Modernization Act of 2014.”  The bill includes the bicameral, bipartisan framework for eliminating the sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula, and a budgetary offset that would delay Affordable Care Act penalties for five years for individuals who do not purchase health insurance.
