The Jefferson Digestive Disease Institute at Thomas Jefferson University, cordially invite you to attend their upcoming inaugural Jefferson Liver Disease Symposium on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City. The course, co-directed by Dr. David A. Sass, MD, features experts in the fields of Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Surgery, Medical Oncology, and Radiology, providing a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment and management of patients with a potpourri of liver diseases.  Educational sessions during the conference will be organized into the following categories to provide a broad coverage of topics of interest and will address the knowledge and performance gaps of the target audience:

  • Updates in Management of Viral Hepatitis B and C and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD),
  • Diagnosis and Multi-disciplinary Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) and
  • Complications of Cirrhosis.

Featured keynote lecture from Dr. Michael R. Lucey, MD  on in The Management Approach to Allograft Dysfunction the Post Liver Transplant Recipient”.  Continuing education credits will be offered for physicians (AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM) and nurses (contact hours).
