HRSA holds World AIDS Day 2020 Virtual Commemorative Event

The Health Resources and Services Administration is holding a World AIDS Day 2020 Virtual Commemorative Event. Below is the invitation that was released on November 30:

“HRSA invites you to attend “HRSA’s World AIDS Day 2020 Virtual Commemorative Event” on December 1, from 11:00 am-12:00 pm ET.  World AIDS Day provides the opportunity to bring attention to the HIV epidemic; encourage HIV testing, care, treatment and prevention; show support to those living with HIV and remember those who have died from HIV/AIDS. This year’s theme is Ending the HIV Epidemic: Resilience and Impact.

The virtual event will highlight HRSA’s role in the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative, recognize the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program’s (RWHAP) 30th anniversary, and celebrate personal stories from people with HIV showing resilience and the impact of the program on their lives.

We also invite you to participate in our Twitter thread campaign. The thread will begin on Tuesday, December 1 and will continue through Wednesday, December 9. We’ll use #HRSAHonorsWAD to promote awareness about HIV and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program’s role in ending the HIV epidemic. @HRSAgov will send four messages tied together by their connection to World AIDS Day.  Please consider jumping on HRSA’s ‘wagon’: comment, like, retweet, or post your own content to our Twitter thread!
