This webinar is for residents, fellows and young physicians and focuses on understanding the basic terms of most employment agreements. The program will examine specific contract clauses, what the legal terms mean in a practical sense, and why they matter. The presentation will also address common questions raised by physicians about employment agreements and will offer practical advice on how to approach the contract review process.
Daniel F. Shay is an attorney with Alice G. Gosfield and Associates, P.C. He restricts his practice to health law and health care regulation focusing primarily on physician representation, especially with respect to fraud and abuse compliance, Medicare Part B physician reimbursement, and physician employment issues. He regularly advises clients on issues surrounding HIPAA compliance, electronic health records license agreements, physician advertising, and physician use of social media, as well as enrollment in Medicare.
