CMS is developing the Physician Compare Website in stages. For 2012, CMS proposes to make public the performance rates of the quality measures that group practices submit under the 2012 Physician Quality Reporting System Group Practice Reporting Option. A minimum threshold of 25 patients will have to be met in order for the group practice’s measure performance rate to be reported on the Physician Compare Website. CMS does not propose to post the measure performance information of individual physicians associated with the group. However, the agency proposes to identify the individual eligible professionals who are associated with the group during the reporting period.
