The following was released by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) on January 5:
COVID vaccination is underway for healthcare workers as well as staff and residents at long-term care facilities in Philadelphia. Given that vaccine availability will be limited initially, Philadelphia is planning for a phased approach. As supply increases, PDPH will continue to expand access to priority groups, including essential workers and persons who might experience complications from COVID-19 infection.
