Please join us on Tuesday, September 27 from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM for a discussion on the difference between sympathy, empathy, and compassion and how this might impact the ability to provide quality healthcare to patients. This virtual program is free and will be held as a Zoom video conference. Link will be provided upon registration.

Dr. Kathleen E. Walls is the owner and founder of the G.R.E.A.T.E.S.T. Counseling & Consulting, located in Philadelphia, PA and strategic business partner with TAGA Consulting. Dr. Walls is a psycho-dynamically trained and systems-oriented Doctor of Clinical Psychology. She counsels, consults, coaches, teaches, and delivers interactive seminars. She researches and develops strategic plans and programs for a wide range of civic, educational, healthcare, and business enterprises.
- Learn the different types of empathy and recommendations on how to demonstrate each (Cognitive, Emotional, & Compassionate Empathy)
- Discuss and explore the impact, value, and role of empathy and compassion in the patient-provider relationship
- Recognize how demonstrating empathy and compassion impacts and influences patient retention, attrition, trust, and increase the implementation of treatment recommendations with regard to care plans, medication adherence, COVID vaccinations, etc.
