The Dr. Vanitha Appadorai Vaidya Award for Humaneness in Medicine

Please note that the nomination period for the 2024 Dr. Vanitha Appadorai Vaidya Award for Humaneness in Medicine has ended. 

The purpose of this Award is to commend humaneness demonstrated by a Resident/Fellow Physician and observed by a medical student, Director of Residency Training, physician colleague, nurse or allied health care professional.  This humaneness is characterized by particular skills in working with people, patients and their families, and understanding human as well as clinical needs especially in the kindness of treatment.

The Award will be presented to the winner during our annual President’s Installation and Awards Night. All Nominees will receive a certificate of Humaneness.
